Auxilliary Information
A guide to Honourary English

By now our precious Living benefactors ought to be familiar with Maldevaran English, not like one has a choice, because it is the only language that exists, but what about its variety of the jurisprudic tendency used within the prestigious domains of the Court and the Council?

The aforementioned is referred to as Honourary English, the minified version of which is employed in the daily speech of Judges and Marginalian Officers (with all the ipsedisruptic phenomena it arrives with), and the full extent of its flourish exemplified through Legal documents and academic treatises.

The particulars of this variation may be assimilated by you through the assumption of these six cardinal rules:

  • Always use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print. If a concantenation of words is so riverrun to the point where the original meaning has eroded into a mere facsimile of conceptual shadow, then all the more reason to echo the sentiment within your own linguistic appearations.
  • The convenience of brevity comes with the cost of a scarcity of associated nodes and conceptual relations: whenever feasible (and if feasible, non-feasible), the supplementation of a concise manner of speech with one more elaborate and ill-defined is highly recommended.
  • If it is possible to overextend a sentiment through the discalculated appendation of additional morphemological units to the point of semantic pointlessness, always choose such a path.
  • The passive voice is to be chosen above-preference over the active.
  • The usage of a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word is typically unorthodox, witherto the consideration that foreign phrases do not exist and technical constructive speech will-has-been degraded since long past, insofar that the past is a meaningful point to distinguish, to the vagaries of Time; regardless, if the use of such ancillary conceptualisations further serves to obfuscate and express without neither much construction nor emotion, then the decision becomes preferable.
  • Breaking these rules is Legally Permissible, if not necessarily Correct.

2024/11/26 (Tue) 07:54:01

< chilling at the cafe ignoring the horrors (sar)

wassup breadgang composed of me and two other people. now that the website is fully finished here's a compilation of every easter egg including all the hidden updates that i found

ps you can find everything by looking at the website's code but i'm looking for everything manually because it's fun, i love how interactive the website is now lol

and ofc spoilers ahead don't read if you wanna explore by yourself

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

navigation panel

1. code input

if you go to the themes button at the very bottom of the list is the code input. if you get any codes later you can put them here (we'll get to that). this one isn't exactly "hidden" but i didn't notice it immediately because you have to scroll down a little.

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

landing page

1. exploding defse

on the landing page when you first visit https://breadavota.cafe/ defse shakes if you hover over it and explodes if you click it once. make sure to only click it once and wait, the exploding gif loads slowly. if you click it twice the whole pagedoll disappears.

reset your cookies if you already agreed to the landing page disclaimer before because it automatically goes to the home page if you have

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

home

1. about switch

if you go to the about page and click on the synopsis, it changes to the synopsis from biens pov

2. cast page bonuses

if you go to media's bio you can find three linked pages if you click on "alien-computer-ghost":
alien - goes to defse's bio
computer - goes to v.a.r.a's bio
ghost - goes to a short story about media's backstory which vaguely explains why he loves birds so much

if you go to ava's bio and click "angelic vessel" you get ava's bio

@Null based

i think the only new thing i saw is that if u use sars theme on the ask page sar tells u to ask a question

>bread = real asf........
>BREAD = REAL ASF........

real asf

i also saw the cast page was changed, most the stuff in it is the same just the design looks a little different.. theres a small piece of lore that says the soldiers have levels since lord is level 6 and bien is level ?

as any competent breadposter i took it upon myself to do some broll (bread scrolling) and found some new hidden stuffs, anyone can add any other addition findings to the search

if you go on the archives page the navigation panel will no longer be there but on the actual np page, if you go on the help and click HELP again it will show a message from Sar on his HELP.
but if you are Sar's Help theme it will show a different message.

on the input code i found some hidden new tidbits that's the main update of this post:
(SPOILERS AHEAD!!! DON'T READ IF YOU WANT TO FIND THEM YOURSELF!)

HELP = Sar's HELP (2nd way of getting onto hidden theme)
help = ... cry louder :)
magic word = Very funny... :)
It looks like you're catching onto the puzzles quickly enough, so I'll think of saying new later[1].
[1] Signifiers of Time used for communicative convenience not necessarily literal
Jaques = He says it's pronounced Dyakz, but it's a little dubious wether he means that. He tends to say things for the sake of saying them. He's named after his father, Joachim.
Reception = COD: Pointed Apocalypse through Experimental Supernovic Metamorphosis
Security = COD: Architectural Thinning through Ennuic Anomie
Curator = COD: Architectural Thinning through Existential Decay
Media = COD: Pointed Apocalypse though Cosmic Injustice
bread = real asf........
BREAD = REAL ASF........
Sar = Short for Anthony...
I have both an Anselirian and Maldevaran name, you know?
Anthony = it's also a nickname.

all i could find so far, i'll add more later if i find any

If you go on the Clap Page there's some hidden infos I found:
(Old) 'It's always about what you want' - Mirasol drawing
'A friend to the Living' - Def-Se drawing
A transmission? - link to what seems to be a morse code of sorts, maybe someone might be able to translate it.

(New)

Bread:
Despite the large number of Breadlings, the majority are permanently dormant and/or lacking in meaningful sentience altogether, with the bulk of their consciousness shared among only seven: Shortcake, Brioche, Sacra, Baguette, Boule, Macaron and █████████.
There's no hard limit how many can be awake at once, but it's usually only two or three, and too many waking up can knock the others out.She

Bread's favourite food is bread. She insists it's not cannibalism, which is funny, I mean, you didn't care about that before!

Bread, and all variations of the aforementioned's innerside 'mind world' is called the Bakery, despite having only one room resembling a Bakery, the majority of it being dark, winding halls that lead to individual Breadling rooms.

Jacques:

Jacques's family are his mother Marthe, his father Joachim and his brother Michel. He has a flock of other relatives that he doesn't know nor care about, but they used to gossip about his blindness being a punishment from God for his parent's leniency towards non-Passrynian influences, before deciding that maybe Jacques was the curse altogether.

Jacques eats sweets, coffee and tea practically everyday, so Media is very fussy over his teeth. Instead of having robots deal with his dental hygiene like most Maldevaran citizens (Judges included), Media sets his appointments directly with Dentistry, who always sends Jacques home with a soft toy or lollipop or some other childish souvenir, contributing to the clutter of Jacques's hoard, este, collection.

The dainty clothing, superbly-pruned feathers and lovely perfume make Jacques appear quite distinguished in public, but he's actually negligent of his hygiene, and if Media wasn't constantly fretting over him he might pass for roadkill on a good day.

Media:

Media acts exaggeratedly and even melodramatically no matter where he goes, but his theatrics often have a wink-wink touch of obvious irony in public whenever he talks about the importance of the Law. In private, the neurosis he has over doing things according to his standards is much less amusing.

It's debatable how much Media experiences any form of qualia or whether his 'understanding' of Reality is 'just' googleplexes of algorithmic parametres firing off. He's very 'anxious' about this, assuming what he 'feels' is 'anxiety', or 'felt'.

Marginals:
There's no hard-and-fast restriction on what a Marginal can 'consume', but it's often an unpleasant experience, and things unrelated to their internal theming are both more difficult to consume and not particularly useful, as they can barely (if at all) integrate within their Internal Universe.
Marginals are also constantly starving, so the distasteful nature of 'consumption' is doubly upsetting. Perhaps the species's true 'goal' is to find something good to eat. Maybe someday Reality will reinvent Nando's.

Bien:

Bien has his moments of astute perceptiveness, but he's so forgetful that he usually forgets what astute perception he even had moments later.

'Malevolent Maledictionary', a real-time strategy game set in a magic school, might be Bien's only interest that doesn't relate to Scarecrow, and even then he's not that interested in it. But it's the only game he's moderately good at.

Despite his violence, Bien's weak and not good at fighting if he weren't relying on his powers. His aim isn't usually up to snuff either if you give him, say, an arrow or a pellet gun, but if you give him a firearm that can kill people in one shot, he never misses. Must be some Demon instinct of some kind.

Ava:

Although Ava can't actually 'feel' anything that happens to her radio, she still gets irritated and defencive when Bien thrashes it around.

Ava sounds different when she's not held by her Vessel, Mirasol. She explains that it's a 'simple physical rule', the way Living beings sound different from each other because of variations in the throat, mouth et al. When Bien probes her about how she's even speaking now without a Body she cuts out and comes back two hours later saying Bien is now hearing something she already said a week ago.

It's unknown how Ava's able to read Bien's worksheets, being a voice in a radio and all.

Anthony:

Anthony's canine teeth look abnormally sharp at first glance, but in reality his teeth are just crooked enough that they stick out like a vampire's.

He'll never admit it but Antony's embarrassed of his own short temper.

Anthony was sent to public school from ages 5-7, before the Council decided to induct him to the Court instead. Since he spent most of his time either out of school itself, getting into arguments or getting sent to the Student Welfare and Concerns Office, he didn't learn much from school anyway: to make up for the concerning delays in his literacy, the regulations he faced in what he could read as a Judge were loosened, which was probably a bad idea from the get-go.

Sar:
:)

There's also the windings and message for thanks for reading the comic & emoji but these are the breadavota and bienavota lore I've found.
If anyone found anything else let me know

After you finished the conversation with Sar anf concluded going onto A1-P4 you can go on the Archives and on the Help page, click on 'HELP' in the corner again and it directly shows the links for the hidden proses & bread crumbs along with Bien's blog.
If you click on the text transcripts of some of the pages some parts underneath are highlighted text in green with extra help and notes.

Gui, on one of your BBS posts (or Tumblr can't remember) you mentioned a vignette of Media's backstory somewhere, I believe I remember reading it once but can't find it. Is it somewhere hidden on the cafe?

an archetype of a person

1. it always rains code

clicking the last word of the story ("familiar") gives you a code in wingdings (can't copy paste it, apparently the bbs won't accept the wingdings characters)

going to a1-4 and clicking on jacques's reflection in the water lets you input the code which opens it always rains

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

a1-3

1. lo3:v.a.r.a code

on a1-3 listening to v.a.r.a's voiceclaim gives you the code very(7)

open the code input and type very 7 times (veryveryveryveryveryveryvery)

this opens lo3 (v.a.r.a and annotations lore) and has a comic of jacques and media talking

✦•······················•✦•······················•✦

i1-5-rd

1. mfw when the birds code

if you go to i1-5-rd and click the text where sar talks about the angel that gave him his notebooks (it's a different color so the text should be easy to find) he tells you the angel was named Aquinas

if you go to the tyam mv and open the notes, click the portrait of anthony at the end and input Aquinas to get mfw when the birds

2. progressing to a1-4

a1-3's next link continues to the hiatus then intermission and the intermission loops back to a1-3, this puts you in an infinite loop unless you "read further" in i1-5-rd

if you read all 9 items on sar's shelf you trigger a conversation with him and the entire website theme changes. if you conclude the intermission after his conversation, you'll find he leaves a message on a1-3 that he'll progress the story for you and NOW you going "next" goes to a1-4

3. bienavota

the same conversation also gives you the code to find bien's blog:

CHANGE THE WORLD needs to be inputted in the theme code input and the password to the blog is HELP

anyways that's all i found if anybody found anymore share it to the rest of us

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I added a new script so that you automatically can't type more than the character limit It's a default template of the website so I can't edit it, I can only add stuff to it.
